I've spent the bulk of my career working in healthcare and government, and have extensive experience building and shipping secure technology in highly regulated environments.
I'm also a big fan of open source, its massive upside has changed the way I do tech, and I contribute back whenever I can. For more, just check out my Github.
I also consider myself an entrepreneur; I've contributed to a number of startups, and co-founded my current company, Amida. I love touching every part of a business, and helping build healthy companies I can take pride in.
MY EXPERIENCE
I built my first website when I was 14, and have been doing technology ever since. These days, I'm big on Javascript, focused on Node.js and Angular.js development.
In 2012, I was selected as an inaugural Presidential Innovation Fellow, working for the White House and Veterans Affairs on "Blue Button for America." During my fellowship I built tech in production today that lets Veterans download their medical records.
Prior to that, I've done big data warehousing, government contracting, business development, and more. I also helped build OSEHRA, a government funded agency to promote VA's open source Electronic Health Record.
